Now you too can train like Kim Kardashian West, Katie Holmes and Jessica Alba.
If you’ve been thinking about joining a gym this winter, do yourself a favour and put preparation for that summer body on hold just little longer as come September, Sydney will welcome Barry’s Bootcamp—the cult-followed, Hollywood-born, High Intensity Interval Training-based fitness studios that are now dotted across 18 cities worldwide.
Followed closely by Melbourne in early 2019, the studios are slated to open their doors in Sydney's Surry Hills, Martin Place and another central location in the coming months, offering Barry's Bootcamp's famed weekly calendar of high-intensity sessions aimed at targeting independent muscle groups for maximum results.
Australia has eagerly awaited the workout, which has a cult following from coast to coast in the US, and we are just a little too excited to see what all the fuss is about.
“The Barry’s brand and workout have become an iconic part of the fitness industry in the United States and London,” says Barry’s Australia head of operations, Heston Russell. “Barry’s is a fitness and lifestyle brand, and we want to bring that unique experience to Australia.”
Complete with the bootcamp's infamous Signature Red Room featuring motivational personal trainers, mood lighting and nightclub-esque music, along with a client list boasting names including Kim Kardashian West, Katie Holmes, Jessica Alba, David Beckham and Harry Styles—we are sure it won’t disappoint.

The foolproof structure of the efficient 55 minute high-intensity workout programs—that allow you to burn 1,000 calories per class—are made up of 25 minute interval-based cardiovascular treadmill routines, 25 minute strength and conditioning sessions and a five minute cool down.
Science-based as opposed to trend-based, the workout sessions have been proven to lean and tone muscle while boosting your resting metabolism, allowing you to continue burn calories long after the class has come to an end.
Barry’s Bootcamp studios will also offer athleisure and performance sportswear, change rooms stocked with luxury grooming products and a Fuel Bar set to provide gym-goers with nutritionally-approved shakes and smoothies.
“The Barry’s model is based on delivering an unrivalled fitness product paired with a concierge-style client experience,” added Russell.
