Sophie Gradon Love Island: Brooke Vincent addresses 'important' message after star's death

The Coronation Street actress, 25, took to her Instagram to pay a tribute to the late Love Island star in a heartfelt message.

In view of her 714,000 followers, she penned: “Such a sad day today regarding the news.

“It’s so important to be kind to one another, you never really know what the person next to you, or reading your social media might be going through.

“We need to empower each other, build each other up and push the use of social media to travel love across the world. Rest In Peace to Sophie.

Yesterday, Sophie Gradon’s boyfriend Aaron Armstrong spoke out about the model’s tragic death.

He shared a picture of the couple on his Facebook page with the message: “I will never forget that smile I love you so so much baby your my world forever and always.”(sic)

Sophie's ex-boyfriend Ashley Lenco also posted on the social media site.

He penned: “I just genuinely can’t believe it, I’ve never felt so strongly for someone else in my life apart from family we was intense and close and madly in love but if people can stop asking me.

“I only wanna speak to people who care about me and who cared about her. RIP.”

A spokesperson for Northumbria Police told Express.co.uk: “At about 8.27pm yesterday (June 20) police attended a property in Medburn, Ponteland, where sadly a 32-year-old woman was found deceased.

“There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding her death. A report will now be prepared for the coroner.”

After the news of her death emerged, many of her fans and former Love Island co-stars flocked to social media to pay tribute.

Love Island host Caroline Flack penned: "So very sad. Such a beautiful soul... such a beautiful smile... thoughts and love with friends and family @sophiegradon."

Alex Bowen, who appeared alongside Sophie on the show, wrote: "We had lots of little chats and so many laughs you were the the shoulder to cry on and a beautiful person with a beautiful soul. Shine bright in that sky Sophie Gradon.”

His fiancee Olivia Buckland, also a former Love Islander, commented: "Awful awful news this morning. I am gutted. I am so sorry the world failed you.

“You were such an intricate, creative, intelligent soul. Words fail me.”(sic)

Sophie rose to fame on the ITV2 dating show in its second series and is widely remembered for being the first LGBT contestant.

She first coupled-up with Tom Powell, and later moved on with Katie Salmon before leaving the villa.
