A Current Affair host Tracy Grimshaw is the red-hot favourite to win her first Gold Logie on Sunday.
The veteran journalist is at odds of $1.70 to scoop the victory, with Amanda Keller at $3.50 and Grant Denyer at $5.
The odds for remaining contestants Rodger Corser ($14), Andrew Winter ($18) and Jessica Marais ($21) are somewhat longer.
On the TODAY Show this morning, Grimshaw said she was "kind of surprised" to have been nominated for the first time after 37 years in journalism.
"I honestly didn't think I'd make the final six," she said.
"They're an exemplary six."
Grimshaw is also up for the trophy in the Most Outstanding News or Public Affairs category for her interview with TV host Don Burke.
The interview followed accusations against Burke of sexual harassment and bullying.
She said the interview was "challenging in its way".
"Don chose to do that interview," Grimshaw said.
"I think that he thought he was going to put all that stuff to bed. And I didn't really understand how he thought he would put it to bed.
"I think he thought he was going to say 'I had affairs' and he thought that would be the headline."
Grimshaw said one of the key drives for her work was the opportunities offered by one-on-one interviews.
"I always feel like people invariably are telling you about the biggest event in their lives," she said.
"And I love people, I love talking to people. And in that situation, their hearts are on the line and there's nothing more honest."
The Logies will air on Channel Nine on Sunday from 7pm (AEST).
