"Justice League" star Ben Affleck is headed back to rehab, according to multiple reports.
People magazine says the 46-year-old actor is seeking treatment for alcohol addiction for the third time.
"He is seeking treatment. He knew he needed help and was vocal about it," a source told the publication.
TMZ reports Affleck checked into a facility Wednesday after his ex-wife Jennifer Garner went to his California home, "begging him to get help." Photos show the former couple leaving his Pacific Palisades residence together for a treatment center in Malibu.
Friends of Affleck tell Page Six that he had been "struggling" with sobriety since breaking up with his longtime girlfriend, "Saturday Night Live" producer Lindsay Shookus. Affleck had been spotted in recent days with Playboy model Shauna Sexton.
Affleck was also pictured Monday receiving a shipment of alcohol; People reports it appeared to be Johnnie Walker Blue Label scotch whisky and other drinks. When she was named Playmate of the Month in May, the 22-year-old Sexton told Playboy that her go-to drink is "whiskey all day."
A source told People magazine that Garner, who appeared visibly upset Wednesday, is more concerned about their children than who he dates.
"Is she happy about him hanging out with a very young Playboy model? Certainly not," an insider told the publication. "But her concern right now is not who he is dating. What she ultimately cares about is his sobriety and whether she can rely on him to co-parent."
Affleck and Garner, who split in 2015 after 10 years of marriage, have three children. Affleck first spent time in rehab in 2001, then said in 2017 he had completed a second stint for alcohol addiction.
