.Pink made a dream come true for a teenage Australian fan at a concert in Brisbane Monday.
Leah Murphy attended the show, CBS News reported, holding up a sign that read, “My name is Leah – I’m 14 years old. I lost my beautiful Mum last month. I would LOVE a hug … Please!”
Leah’s mother Debbie, who was a huge Pink fan, passed away in June.

Katrina Donkin, Leah’s cousin whom she refers to as an aunt, wanted to help get the message of love to the singer.
“We didn’t think there was a chance but we held [the signs] up in hope she would see it,” Donkin told ET Canada.
“Strangers in the crowd grabbed the signs and we waved them frantically whenever she looked over our way. Until she squinted and said, ‘OK what IS that?'”
Donkin said, “A sign got passed up to her. She read it out then came down to hug Leah as the crowd pushed us forward.”
“The hug felt long and strong and raw. Pink said to her, ‘You’re pretty—oh don’t cry—it’s going to be OK,'” Donkin said.
Leah told Pink that she and her mother used to dance together to her music.
As it turns out, the special moment almost never happened. Leah originally had tickets to see Pink perform in Sydney but the singer cancelled due to illness. Luckily, the young girl managed to get tickets to her Brisbane show.
“I think meeting Pink has lifted a little girl’s spirits in such a sad time,” Donkin continued. “She is so heartbroken. But since the concert she hasn’t stopped smiling and singing.”
Donkin said that she thinks the spirit of Leah’s mother played a role in making it all happen.
“I believed she orchestrated the whole thing and sent her little girl a hug from heaven.”
