NETWORK Ten has released a sneak peak at Julia Morris’ new TV show.
The hilarious comedian is the host of Blind Date, an updated version of the hit 80s show, Perfect Match.
If you’re not familiar with the concept, Ten described the upcoming show by saying: “Each week, one single person will ask three hidden potential suiters three questions to determine which person is very right, or horribly wrong, for them.”
Talking about the show that will debut mid-October, Morris told The Sunday Telegraph, “It has a speed dating vibe to it and success will very much be in how much thought our contestants are putting into their answers”.
“The very exciting thing for me about this format is it’s not a dating show; it’s a comedy dating show,” she said.
“I have had literally thousands of dates over the years, so I am looking forward to helping single Aussies make the same mistakes … I mean find love.”
Julia Morris is very much in demand at the moment. Not only does she also host I’m a Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here on Network Ten, but UK viewers have started a campaign for her to co-host the British version of I’m a Celeb with Declan Donnelly.
The campaign started last month after a montage of Morris’ hilarious intro’s on I’m a Celeb went viral in the UK.
Speaking to ITV’s Good Morning Britain about the campaign, Morris said, “I’d take the job in a heartbeat!”
“I am a huge fan of the show and lived in the UK for seven years, and when I came home to Australia and heard they were doing an Australian version, I went lock, stock and two very smoking barrels to get that job because it always looked like the boys were having so much fun,” she said. “So I was lucky enough to land it.”
Blind Date premieres Monday, October 15 at 7.30pm on Ten and the WIN Network
