Toy Story 4: Tim Allen reveals details about the 'emotional' movie

TIM Allen has revealed some of the scenes in Toy Story 4 were so emotional to film that he struggled to complete them.

Allen will reprise his role as Buzz Lightyear in the film which is due out in June next year.

Tom Hanks will once again voice the character of Woody and Joan Cusack will be back as Jessie.

Allen was asked about the upcoming movie while appearing on The Talk and said he’s been hard at work on the project.

“Yes, I gotta resist getting emotional,” the comedian said.

“I don’t want to give it away, but this is an incredibly great story. It is so emotional, it’s so funny, it’s so big, the idea they’ve come up with, I’m startled. I couldn’t even get through the last scene. I would love to be a Washington leaker.”

Allen stopped himself before giving away any other details, saying, “I just can’t do it. I can’t give any more away. They’ve got great characters but a couple of scenes toward the end were really hard to get through”.

Allen previously told Entertainment Weekly about Toy Story 4: “Somehow they were able to advance this wonderful story that could have easily ended with No. 3 being the best of the bunch.”

“It’s emotional and funny and exciting and different and took it to a whole new level. It walks the line between comfort — you know what’s going on — and discomfort — wondering what’s gonna happen. It’s terrifically emotional.”

The first Toy Story movie was released back in 1995 and was followed by Toy Story 2 in 1999 and Toy Story 3, which was nominated for Best Picture at the Oscars, in 2010.
