GAME of Thrones star Sophie Turner is back in the next X-Men film Dark Phoenix — and “she’s all rage” that hits you in the new trailer for the long-awaited film.
Turner, who plays Jean Gray is back, and the trailer shows her as she develops her dangerous mutant powers.
As a villain in their midst, her fellow X-Men must decide whether to save her from the Phoenix, her dark side, or protect those she poses a fatal threat to.
The new trailer shows Turner as a young girl trying to figure out what’s wrong with her.
Fans see her accidentally cause a car crash that leaves her parents dead.
It show how strong she can become, and that she is unable to control what is happening to her as her superpowers develop.
Professor X, played by James McAvoy tells her: “Jean, you are not broken.”
The trailer also features the X-Men angry at Professor X for something he did.
Turner’s character Jean Gray struggles to stop hurting those close to her, which follows the original story in the X-Men comics.
The storyline, which was told the late 1970s and 1980s revealed how the Phoenix bonded itself with Jean.
It then made her a lethal mutant that can destroy other peoples’ lives.
The comic book story ended with Jean Gray’s death — but it is unclear how the movie will end and if it will follow the same plot line.
Directed by Simon Kinberg, others starring in the film include Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, Tye Sheridan, Alexandra Shipp, Nicholas Hoult and Evan Peters.
Jessica Chastain is also featured in the trailer, and is reportedly joining as a mysterious shape-shifter.
Fans also see a funeral scene, which doesn’t contain Lawrence’s character of Mystique.
While nothing is confirmed, it’s not clear if all of the X-Men characters will survive the end of the film.
Dark Phoenix will be released in Australia on February 7, 2019.
