THOMAS Markle has reportedly contacted the Archbishop of Canterbury to help him heal the rift with his daughter and for access to his future grandchild.
The Duchess of Sussex’s father, 74, says the baby will have “Markle blood” as well as “blue blood”, The Sun reports.
Mexico-based Mr Markle may even force visiting rights by hiring a legal team, the Daily Mirror claim.
He has apparently asked help from the Palace and Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby.
A source told the paper: “He strongly believes the baby should be as much a part of his life as they will be Prince Charles’s.
“Thomas says the Markle blood will be as much in the child’s veins as the ‘blue blood’ of the royals and he has ‘rights’.
“He admits mistakes but with Meghan pregnant, he is desperate to heal the rift.”
Mr Markle has reportedly reached out to Kensington Palace several times since news of Meghan’s pregnancy broke, in hopes the baby will be what finally breaks their estrangement.
He also reportedly wants to fly to London and meet Meghan, 37, and Prince Harry, 34, in person.
Previously he likened the Royal Family to Scientologists because of their “cult-like” secrecy.
Mr Markle, an Emmy-winning lighting director, has tried to encourage Meghan and her husband to contact him — after three months of silence.
They have not spoken since the day after the couple’s wedding at Windsor Castle.
He has offered to fly to the UK if he can sit down with Meghan and Harry when they are back from their South Pacific tour.
