Adele's hilariously perfect response to Spice Girls reunion news

SHE could be any other young girl in the late ’90s, excitedly posing in front of her bedroom Spice Girls posters, lolly in hand.

Who knew this adorable youngster would go on to become one of the best-selling singers of all time?

Superstar singer-songwriter Adele shared the adorable throwback picture of her younger self in reaction to the news today that four out of five Spice Girls will reunite for a UK tour in June next year.

“This is how I feel right now!” she captioned the image, which we’re estimating would’ve been taken around 1997, putting her at nine years old. “I AM READY.”

This isn’t the first time the Rolling In The Deep singer has publicly professed her love for the ’90s girl group.

During her 2016 Car Pool Karaoke segment with James Corden, she explained that it was a “huge moment in my life when they came out”.

“It was Girl Power … five ordinary girls who did so well, and who got out. It was a really important period of my life.”

She told Corden her 10th birthday was a Spice Girls dress-up party.

“I was always Geri. And then she left … that was the first time I was truly heartbroken.”

And here she is way back at the start of her career in 2008, declaring mid-interview that the Spice Girls are “the reason I wanted to be an entertainer”:

“I can’t meet them,” she said at the time. “Either it’d be the biggest let-down, or I’d have a heart attack.”
