Actor Kit Harington has denied claims he cheated on his wife, fellow Game of Thrones star Rose Leslie, following claims made by a Russian model.
Model Olga Vlasova last week told Russian media she had an affair with Harington after first meeting the actor in Luxembourg in 2017, when he was already engaged to Leslie, and again after their marriage in June. She also shared nude photos of a man she said was Harington.
Now Harington's team has taken the unexpected step of rejecting the tabloid fodder.
"The allegations in this story are completely false," a rep for Harington told Entertainment Tonight.
"[Harington] has never even been to Luxembourg nor has he ever met Olga Vlasova."
Harington and Leslie, both 31, met on the set of the HBO series in 2012, where she played Jon Snow's love interest Ygritte.
The couple reportedly had an on-off relationship before their engagement in September 2017 and subsequent wedding in a Scottish castle this June, which was attended by castmates including Peter Dinklage, Emilia Clarke, Sophie Turner and Maisie Williams.
At September's Emmys, the press-shy Harington had suggested meeting Leslie was the highlight of his time on the award-winning fantasy show.
"I met my wife on this show... In that way it gave me my future family," he told reporters backstage.
The controversy comes just as Game of Thrones is building anticipation for its final season, set to premiere in April.
