'Maybe there are comedians out there who are not white and male': Producer Que Ming Luu hits back at The Chaser calling out their 'privilege' after they slam the network following the axing of their long-running ABC show

Following The Chaser's announcement that they would not be returning to the ABC in 2019, it's all-out war between the embattled network and the popular program, with an executive producer slamming their remarks.

The long-running politically-charged series announced via Twitter last Sunday that the ABC had chosen not to fund them for another season.

'ABC in 2019: Another thing that’s not coming back... a Chaser election show,' they wrote.

'First time since 2001 that the ABC has declined to fund it. Perhaps Sky News provides enough satire nowadays?'

Their remarks seemed to have hit a few nerves over at the network, with ABC executive producer Que Ming Luu calling them out.

Taking to Twitter on Saturday, Que launched into a tirade, blasting those involved in the hit show.

'Maybe kicking the ABC when it’s down because you don’t have an election special commissioned for the first time in your 17yr TV career (which is all thanks to the org btw) is a touch d***ish?' she tweeted.

She then went on to label The Chaser team privileged.

'Maybe there are comedians out there who are not white and male who have some funny s**t to say about politics, I dunno,' she continued.

'Maybe you could have used your privilege and nurtured some over the years, I dunno. Maybe? You tell me.'

Making a point: 'Maybe there are comedians out there who are not white and male who have some funny sh*t to say about politics, I dunno,' Que said

Que claimed the ABC's hands were tied in the decision to cut the show, after the Australian government slashed their funding.

'Maybe it's not the ABC? Maybe it's the decimation of funding to the ABC over years that compromises its charter and severely limits the kinds of voice [sic] we should hear from...' she wrote.

'Not least of all the entitled voices of middle class white men. Maybe?'

Her tweets have since been deleted.
