Mel B admits feeling 'uncomfortable' for Irina Shayk during Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper's Oscars duet - 9Honey

Mel B was like many fans enamoured by Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper's intimate Oscars performance on Monday. But the Spice Girl admitted that she did feel a bit "uncomfortable" for Cooper's girlfriend, Victoria's Secret model Irina Shayk.

Mel B (real name: Melanie Brown) shared her thoughts on the performance during an Oscars recap of Good Morning Britain, where she told host Piers Morgan how she hoped there weren't actual romance vibes happening between the A Star Is Born co-stars.

“I felt so uncomfortable for Bradley’s girlfriend, oh my gosh,” Mel B said. She also agreed with the panel that there appeared to be "the look of love" between the musician/actress and actor, but she also added, “I would like to think it was part of the whole performance, because there's a women's code and hopefully that's not...hopefully it’s only professional."

Gaga, 32, and Cooper, 44, performed their popular track 'Shallow' from A Star Is Born, which was nominated for seven total Oscars including Best Picture, which went to Green Book instead. Gaga and Cooper were also nominated for Best Actress and Best Actor, respectively, although they did not win. Gaga and her co-writers Mark Ronson, Anthony Rossomando and Andrew Wyatt did, however, take home Best Original Song for 'Shallow.'

During the performance, Gaga and Cooper maintained wonderful chemistry as they locked eyes and belted out the love song. At one point, Cooper stood up from his seat onstage and sat next to Gaga on the piano bench, wrapped his arm around her waist, and they sang together with their cheeks touching.

Shayk, 33, was seated in the front row just feet away from the stage, and seemed content and relaxed during the touching performance. When Cooper and Gaga finished, they received a standing ovation before making their way back to their seats up front.

Cooper hugged and kissed Shayk, whom she shares one-and-a-half-year-old daughter Lea De Seine, and Shayk congratulated Gaga, per People.

The Oscars performance came just days after the 'Born This Way' singer confirmed she had ended her engagement with talent agent Christino Carino.
