Father of two Guillaume Zigan and his family will take part in The Wellness Walk and Research Run next weekend, as he raises money in support of the Olivia Newton-John Cancer Wellness and Research Centre where he received treatment for three years.
Mr Zigan defied the odds after beating cancer twice and overcoming a life-threatening heart condition.
He was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic lymphoma in 2015.
He underwent chemotherapy and had a bone marrow transplant.
After relapsing and taking part in an immunotherapy trial, he received the all-clear.
"What do you do? Do you leave your kids and your wife behind? No. So you just fight it and fight with everything you have got," Mr Zigan said.
"I call myself a lucky one because I managed to win that fight."
Now he and his family are choosing to give back to the Olivia Newton-John Cancer Wellness and Research Centre.
The ONJ Centre is hoping to raise $1 million.
Leading the charge for this year's walk is Olivia herself. She continues to champion the cause, despite her current stage four cancer diagnosis.
As a former patient, Mr Zigan says Olivia's determination is constant inspiration.
"If I can be a little bit like her, it would be absolutely incredible," Mr Zigan added.
The money raised will support cancer research breakthroughs and provide access to world-leading wellness and supportive care programs, giving patients hope during cancer diagnosis, treatment and recovery.
