The British radio DJ is facing competition for the affections of basketballer Ben Simmons from his ex Kendall Jenner, reports The Sun.
Jama grew close to the Aussie basketballer during a trip to the US last month.
But supermodel Jenner has since been having flirty FaceTime calls with Simmons, who she split with in May after a year together.
Now friends think she is making a play to win him back. A source said: “Maya has not long been single, so she and Ben are taking time to get to know each other and see if there’s a real spark.
“But Kendall coming back on the scene could derail any blossoming romance.
“Pals say Kendall still has feelings for Ben and although she’s trying to be strong, she can’t help but look back on their relationship through rose-tinted glasses.
“Ben’s interest in Maya may have left Kendall questioning whether she can bear to see him with anyone else.”
Jama is single after splitting British grime superstar Stormzy in August after four years together.
Jama was linked to Simmons last month, after he posted fire emojis — the social media equivalent of a wink across the bar — beneath an Instagram picture of her dressed as a sexy mermaid for Halloween.
The presenter and model was also spotted sitting with some of his friends as they watched Simmons play an NBA game.
Jenner’s relationship with the basketball star was equally crowded.

Days before they were seen out together, Jenner was spotted kissing Gigi and Bella Hadid’s brother Anwar, who she reportedly locked lips with again during a brief break from seeing the Australian. This was before he started dating singer, Dua Lipa.
Something tells us none of them will be settling down any time soon.
