Australian comedian Celeste Barber, known worldwide for her celebrity parodies on Instagram, has used social media to raise millions of dollars for Australian firefighters amid the bushfire crisis.
"This is my mother in laws house. It's terrifying," Barber said in the post.
"They are scared. They need your help. International donations can be made via the link in my bio."
Since the post went live almost a day ago, Barber has already raised over $10 million with the likes of international mega-star P!nk, actress Selma Blair and US comedian Gary Janetti all pledging large sums of money to the NSW Rural Fire Service.
Barber responded to the overwhelming response posting on Facebook on this afternoon: "This is out of control! You are all out of control. My love and appreciation for you all is out of control.
"Unfortunately today the fires are due to get even more out of control."
Barber has almost seven million followers on Instagram with the majority all vowing to donate and share the post to a wider audience.
