Here's Everyone Who Might Perform at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's Royal Wedding

We've officially hit 100 days until the royal wedding, and it seems there are still plenty of planning details that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry need to cross off the checklist before their May 19 nuptials. Harry reportedly still hasn't chosen his best man (although Prince William is a shoe-in), Markle must select her bridal squad, and, most importantly, the duo has to finally send out their wedding invites with the Queen's stamp of approval. But, with a wedding of this caliber, there's only one privilege that could potentially top landing a spot on the guest list—getting to perform at the royal wedding reception itself.

Like all weddings, the music selection can make or break the reception vibe. And, with the televised royal wedding, the stakes are even higher. However, with both their celeb connections, Markle and Harry will probably have their pick of the lot when it comes to choosing their wedding performer. And, many singers have already volunteered to step up to the plate...because who wouldn't want to say that they performed at the wedding of the year!?

Ed Sheeran, a soon-to-be-groom himself, originally offered himself up for the gig last December when Prince Charles honored him as a member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire. When reporters at the event asked the love song extraordinaire if he would offer his talents to the royal bride and groom, he nonchalantly responded, "Yeah, why not?" Earlier that month, he also agreed to perform at the wedding if he was "free." Seems like Sheeran is more than happy to do the singing honors, and how "Perfect" would the couple's first dance be!?

Another fellow romantic musician, Sam Smith, would also love to serenade the royal couple at their wedding. "I’m obsessed. I want to sing at the wedding," he confessed to The Sun. "Oh my God I’d love to, it would be a dream." He joked that if he did land the performance, "I'd have to wear a dress and a crown though."

Additionally, English hip-hop star Stormzy volunteered last November after the MOBO Awards, saying he could supply "a little acoustic for young Harry" on his wedding day. The couple has no shortage of enthusiastic singers to choose from!

And, potentially making everyone's '90s dreams come true, there's been talk of a Spice Girls performance and reunion, all in one. Geri Horner, AKA Ginger Spice, reportedly revealed that she wants the former girl band comeback to kick off at the royal wedding, as she thinks their glorious reunion should be "very British," according to The Sun. It truly doesn't get more British than royal nuptials! And, Markle is supposedly a fan of the "Wannabee" singers, so this sounds like a match made in royal music heaven.

On a lesser known musical scale, a London DJ slipped his business card to Harry and Markle in hopes of booking the performance job of all jobs. Jevanni Letford bumped into the betrothed pair when they visited his radio station, Reprezent Radio, and greeted a confused Harry with a copy of his card, which the royal stowed in his pocket. And, Letford's attempts to get his name on the reception program didn't stop there—he created his own royal wedding playlist, and spearheaded an online petition to perform at the nuptials. Maybe his valiant efforts will keep him in consideration, and hopefully Harry kept his card!

English pop singer Ellie Goulding performed at Prince William and Kate Middleton's wedding in 2011, so Markle and Harry's potential performer has big shoes to fill. While Goulding is probably retired from the royal wedding scene, whoever does make the cut to croon the newlyweds will surely go down in performance history. Will and Kate also hired a DJ to play pop hits as the reception rolled on, so maybe Letford's dream will actually come true.

After Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced their engagement last November, Kensington Palace released a memo that declared, "This wedding, like all weddings, will be a moment of fun and joy that will reflect the characters of the Bride and Groom." While it's too soon to say which musical artist will reflect Harry and Markle's characters, here's hoping the coveted performer chooses a Queen Elizabeth-approved playlist.
