Pippa Middleton's billionaire father-in-law charged with raping a minor

Pippa Middleton's father-in-law has been charged in France over the historic rape of a minor.

Billionaire David Matthews was questioned by French police last Tuesday in relation to a case dating from 1998 to 1999, the Sun reports.

The hotel magnate has since been charged with two counts of rape of a minor.

It is alleged the 74-year-old committed the attack on the Caribbean island of St Barts, where he owns a hotel and has lived for two decades.

A complaint was made last year regarding the alleged attack.

Mr Matthews has denied all allegations.
