HOLLYWOOD superstar Matt Damon is enjoying a golden tour of southeast Queensland, endorsed by Chris Hemsworth.
The Bourne star, who has been holidaying in Australia with his family since Easter, has worked his way up the coast from Byron Bay to Noosa, checking out what friend Hemsworth described as “the best Australia had to offer”. That included drinking a can of XXXX Gold on the beach at Double Island Point on Sunday, offered by a local surfer.
“Me and the boys thought it would be rude if we didn’t pop by to say hey and sink a few tinnies,” Noosa’s Tyler Boyce told The Courier-Mail.
“To our surprise he was keen to chat and have a beer with us for a while, talking about how lucky we are to live here.
“We spoke about him giving surfing a crack and he said he really enjoys it.”
The Damon and Hemsworth families stayed at Rainbow Beach over the weekend, snapping selfies with locals while surfing at Double Island Point.
They also dined at local restaurant Coffee Rocks on Saturday night.
Damon’s publicist has denied rumours the actor is planning a move to Australia.
