Love Island intruder shakes things up

IT’S only episode two of Love Island Australia, but already we’ve got love triangles, partner swapping and enough fake tan to last a lifetime.

While the series premiere was savaged on Sunday night, viewers seemed to have warmed to Love Island, embracing its more cringe-worthy moments on Twitter.

Kicking the episode off was intruder Kim, who was informed by text that she would have to find a man and pair up within 24 hours if she wants to stay, no pressure or anything.

Despite initially being interested in Eden, Kim decided to try her luck with Charlie and Josh, taking the two male contestants on back to back dates — how romantic.

Kim’s date with Josh goes surprisingly well, with Josh seeming less and less interested in his current partner Tayla by the hour.

Telling Kim that he was “blown away” when he first saw her last night, Josh also assures the single mum he isn’t put off by her having a son — even if he had to ask whether she had a boy or a girl.

Meanwhile, things couldn’t be more awkward between Kim and Charlie, with the rugby player struggling to keep the conversation going on their cringe-worthy date.

His chances with Kim are well and truly dashed when he joked that he would pick himself in a re-coupling.

In the end, Kim decides to pick Josh, leaving Tayla now tasked with finding a partner so she doesn’t get booted from Love Island Australia.

The beauty queen has already got her sights set on Grant after some flirty moments, with Tayla giving the tradie 24 hours to decide whether he wants to dump Cassidy and hook up with her.

Earlier Grant and Cassidy became the first Love Island Australia couple to disappear under the sheets, before the cameras quickly cut away.

But by far the most action seemed to occur between Charlie and Josh — slip, slop slap!

Love Island Australia airs Sunday-Thursday 8.30pm on 9Go! and 9 Now.
