Meghan and Harry's honeymoon destination revealed

PRINCE Harry and Meghan Markle’s honeymoon destination has been shrouded in secrecy.

But after delaying their trip so they could attend Prince Charles’ 70th birthday garden party last week, the new Duke and Duchess of Sussex are reportedly heading to Canada.

TMZ claims that Harry and Meghan have chosen the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge in Alberta, Canada.

According to the website, the couple will stay in the Outlook Cabin, a 6000 square feet (557sq m) property featuring sweeping views of the Canadian countryside.

While the date and length of their stay is unknown, it’s believed the couple will be accompanied by security, with special “gear and goodies” ordered for their visit.

Set inside Jasper National Park, the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge has been a favourite destination of the English royal family.

Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip stayed at the resort in 2005, while King George VI and The Queen Mother visited in 1939.

Meghan is sure to favour the destination, having lived in Canada for several years while filming TV series Suits.

Meanwhile the Sunday Mirror also reports that Meghan and Harry have been invited to Queensland for a romantic getaway.

Meghan’s former Suits co-star Gabriel Macht and his Australian actor wife Jacinda Barrett have offered to let the royal couple to stay at their Noosa property.

A source told the newspaper: “Harry and Meghan have a window free and Gabriel and his wife have invited them to their beautiful Queenslander-style house.

“It’s an incredible place and will be perfect for them to chill out before they go on what is likely to be a fairly non-stop tour.”

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will visit Australia in October as part of their first official tour as a married couple.
