ONE of the biggest feuds in showbiz has ended but another is very much alive.
The day before Katy Perry made up with Taylor Swift after five years, she was dealt a fresh blow: her friendship with Rihanna is worse than ever.
According to The Sun, the situation came to a head at Monday’s Met Gala in New York.
The former best friends haven’t seen each other for more than 18 months after falling out.
But they were forced to pose for an excruciatingly awkward photo together on the red carpet of the event.
To make matters worse for Perry, she was left off the invite list of Rihanna’s star-studded afterparty at exclusive New York nightclub, Up&Down.
A source close to Perry reportedly told The Sun: “Because Rihanna was chairing the Met Gala, she had to pose with a lot of the celebrity guests but it was really uncomfortable when she was asked to have the photo with Katy.
“They used to be close but Rihanna’s expression in the photo says it all.
“Katy was upset about the whole situation because Rihanna was cold to her and she wasn’t invited to her after-party.”
But in better news for Perry, her long-running feud with Swift, which started when she used the superstar’s backing dancers in 2013, is finally over.
She offered her an olive branch, by sending one in the post, as Swift kicked off her Reputation world tour in the US on Tuesday night.
Swift shared the moment she opened the package on Instagram, saying: “I just got to my dressing room and found this actual olive branch. This means so much.”
The video also gave a glimpse of a handwritten letter in which Perry wrote: “Hey Old Friend — I’ve been doing some reflecting on past miscommunications and hurt feelings between us.”
Meanwhile, Swift’s dispute with Kanye West and Kim Kardashian is also still definitely on.
After Swift denied any prior knowledge of West’s tune Famous, in which he refers to the pop star as a b***h, Kardashian called her a “snake” on social media, inspiring the backdrop for her stage.
Referring to the incident on stage, Swift said: “I went through some really low times for a while because of it. I didn’t know if I was gonna get to do this any more.”
Writing an entire album about it must have helped her get over it.
