Harry and Meghan finally get moment they missed out on at wedding

IT’S AN iconic moment of royal weddings throughout the ages — the balcony kiss.

But while Kate Middleton and Prince William got to lock lips on the balcony of Buckingham Palace in 2011, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle missed out.

Unfortunately for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Windsor Castle does not have a balcony like Buckingham Palace, meaning the newlyweds had to settle with having their first kiss on the church steps.

But Meghan and Harry will finally get their balcony moment this weekend, when they join the rest of the royal family to watch the Trooping the Colours.

Held annually to celebrate Queen Elizabeth’s birthday, the centuries-old tradition sees royals gather on the balcony of Buckingham Palace to watch troops march down The Mall.

The event will be exciting for a number of reasons; it will be Meghan and Harry’s first official engagement since their honeymoon, which was rumoured to be in Canada.

It was also be the first time of many that Meghan joins the rest of the family on Buckingham Palace’s balcony.

Besides being the site of Princess Diana and Prince Charles’ wedding kiss, it’s also where lip-readers busted Queen Elizabeth giving out to Prince William for kneeling last year.

But while it’s not likely Meghan and Harry will lock lips on the balcony, it’s possible the loved up couple will share an affectionate moment or two as they wave to the crowds.

Meghan’s balcony appearance comes as she prepares to accompany the Queen to a number of key events next week.

The Suits actor will escort the 92-year-old monarch to the opening of a bridge and theatre in the north west of England.
