Aside from watching her daughter and Prince Harry recite their vows, Ms Ragland said her highlight of the big day was meeting the Queen.

According to The Sun, Ms Ragland, dressed in an Oscar de la Renta dress and coat, was the only family member present to support Meghan at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle.

A source told US Weekly: “Doria is saying the biggest highlight of the wedding, of course after watching her daughter say ‘I do’ to the man she loves, was meeting the Queen.

“It would have been extremely intimidating for anyone, but Meghan and Harry really did a marvellous job of preparing her (with) what to expect.”

The source added that Prince Harry told his new mother-in-law “numerous stories about the Queen as a grandmother and what she (means) to him”.

Doria also met Prince William, Kate Middleton, Prince George and Princess Charlotte in the run-up to the wedding on May 19.

The 61-year-old charmed her new in-laws — and now people are speculating about whether she might give up her life as a yoga teacher and social worker in LA and move to the UK to support Meghan.

A royal insider told The Mirror: “When she (Meghan) and Harry start a family it’ll be incredibly hard if her mum is 5,500 miles away.”

Ms Ragland was praised for “rising above” family dramas ahead of her daughter’s nuptials.

Meghan’s dad Thomas pulled out of the ceremony following a heart op.

And her half brother, Thomas Jnr, wrote a bizarre open letter to Prince Harry, telling him to call off the wedding, while Meghan’s half sister, Samantha Markle, painted her as a pushy princess.
