'Neighbours' Star Matty Wilson Thanks Public For Helping Find Little Timba

Timba, the adorable French Bulldog has been found after she was allegedly stolen on Friday afternoon. Her human, Neighbours star Matty Wilson issued a public plea to help find little Timba after she was believed to be stolen from the front of the Chirnside Park Officeworks around 2:20PM in Melbourne.

According to Wilson, Timba had been tied up in front of Officeworks for just 12 minutes when he returned to find her missing.

Posting the good news to his Instagram, Wilson wrote:

“TIMBA HAS BEEN HANDED IN.

Thank you everyone so much. Whoever had her, seemed to be spooked by all the social media attention and left her at a hardware store. She will be back with us soon. Couldn’t have done this without everyone’s support and contribution. Thank you #Timbafound”

Through his Instagram Story, Wilson explained a member of the public spotted Timba tied up in front of a Bunnings store, had her microchip scanned, and then immediately contacted Wilson and his partner after seeing their posts across social media.

Wilson’s partner Jessica Waters also took to her Instagram to thank the public:

“We honestly couldn’t have done it without you. Our hearts are extremely full and are so happy to have our little fur baby back.”

Victoria Police also confirmed the news and thanked the public and media’s assistance in locating the gorgeous pup.

However, VIC Police are still looking for those responsible so if you have any information regarding the incident please contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000. You can also submit a confidential crime report HERE.

On Neighbours Wilson plays David Brennan who later this year, will tie the knot with his on-screen partner David Tanaka (Takaya Honda) in Australia’s first ever television same-sex marriage. The wedding, officiated by the magnificent Magda Szubanski, will air later this year.
