The Block 2018: Episode 8 recap and the best one-liners

APPARENTLY this year’s Blockheads weren’t told to ‘think before you speak’ when they were growing up, so we’ve put together the top 10 one-liners from Wednesday night’s episode.

Try using one of these phrases in a conversation today.

Jess and Norm are straight out of Queensland, and they have some phrases that are pure gold.

Carla and Bianca are down to earth and honest when they talk to the camera you can tell they’ve had some media training, and they use a filter.

Meanwhile judge Darren Palmer gets paid the big bucks for a reason, including this insightful comments.

And Kerrie and Spence don’t mince their words, but then nor does judge Shaynna Blaze.

Hayden and Sara have a unique style, and a way with words. Which doesn’t always sit well with judges Shaynna and Darren

But the quote of the first challenge event goes to Jess from Queensland, who along with partner Norm won Wednesday night’s challenge.

But the show didn’t stop there, and there was another chance to win some cash when Shelley Craft and her mate Alice did the walk-around to see who has the best design.

Jess was on fire again, in explaining why her room was a bit of a mess:

11. “People like Picasso and all those people, I think they lived in squaller. But their paintings were marvellous. I don’t think someone from the painting shop went ‘Picasso, your paints are everywhere you’re a disgrace’.” — Jess

Hayden got slammed by everyone, and Sara took great pleasure in throwing him under the bus.

Scotty Cam proved he knows how to break the big news.

But when Scotty went head-to-head with netballers Carla and Bianca, he probably came off second best.

15. “We came second twice … and no-one likes coming second” — Bianca, before her and Carla went on to win the walk-through challenge.

Some people (Sara and Hayden) weren’t stoked by the choice.
