The full details of their trip are yet to be released, but we've got an idea of what they'll be up to.

The centrepiece of their visit is the Invictus Games in Sydney

That helps explain why Prince Harry and Meghan are spending so much of their time there.

They'll be in the city for both the opening and closing ceremonies of the event, which runs from October 20-27.

Prince Harry started the Invictus (Latin for "unconquered") sports event in 2014 to provide support and awareness for wounded, injured and ill members of the armed forces.

The event in Sydney follows three previous Games in Toronto (2017), Orlando (2016) and London (2014). The ABC will be broadcasting the Sydney Games.

Meghan and Prince Harry won't be the first Royals to visit Dubbo

Queen Elizabeth visited the Western Plains Zoo in the city in 1992.

And here's what the Queen got up to when she visited the city in 1954, not long after she ascended the throne in 1952, according to her itinerary in the Western Herald newspaper:

The city on the Western Plains in New South Wales is one of many in Australia that have been affected by the ongoing drought.

Local newsagent Lee Judd says the upcoming visit is the talk of the town.

"Nothing about Harry, it's all about Meghan," she said.

Fraser Island is getting used to Royal attention too

Prince Charles visited the island in 1994:

And when he was in Queensland in April, he added Fraser's K'gari national park to the Queen's Commonwealth Canopy conservation initiative.

"It's really exciting to have this international recognition for what a pristine natural environment Fraser Island is," Fraser Coast mayor George Seymour said.

Fraser Island is the world's largest sand island and is known for its natural beauty.

Prince Harry has spoken about how he shares his father's passion for the environment.
