Prince Harry Will Run into Two of His Exes at Friday's Royal Wedding

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are both expected to be guests at Friday’s Windsor Castle wedding ceremony between Harry’s cousin, Princess Eugenie, and Jack Brooksbank, but it's possible they'll be forced to miss part of the celebrations. As the Daily Mail reported today, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will be flying to Australia over the weekend to begin their Pacific tour, and may wind up missing part of the all-night after-party.

All the same, Harry, who is particularly close to Eugenie, is said to be looking forward to Friday when he will also be re-united with some of his oldest friends as well as his former flames. The prince is said to have seen little of his school friends in recent months, and is looking forward to the reunion. He might be less enthusiastic about the prospect of bumping into his two ex-girlfriends, model and actress Cressida Bonas, one of Eugenie’s best friends, and Chelsy Davy, Harry’s first love. Both were guests at Harry and Meghan’s wedding in May, but according to a source, “Harry doesn’t speak to either of them anymore, they are part of his past, and he has moved on with a new life with Meghan. Eugenie is still very close to them both. I am sure he’ll be courteous and very civil to them both but it will be interesting to see Meghan’s reaction.”

Buckingham Palace released more details about the wedding on Wednesday, with the full details of the couple’s wedding part. After weeks of speculation, Eugenie’s older sister Princess Beatrice will indeed be her maid of honor. The royal sisters are best friends, and Beatrice has been helping Eugenie plan every aspect of her wedding day. The groom has also asked his brother, Thomas Brooksbank, to be his best man, while the couple have chosen family members (and the daughter of singer Robbie Williams) to be bridesmaids and page boys.

5-year-old Prince George and 3-year-old Princess Charlotte will join five other bridesmaids and page boy Louis de Givenchy (the 6-year-old son of Zoe and Olivier de Givenchy) to complete the wedding party. The couple have asked Savannah and Isla Philips (aged seven and six respectively), the daughters of Eugenie’s cousin Peter Phillips and his wife Autumn, to be bridesmaids along with cousin Zara and Mike Tindall’s daughter Mia (aged four) and Eugenie’s goddaughter Maud Windsor (aged five), daughter of Lord Freddie Windsor and his wife Sophie.

Theodora Williams, the six-year-old daughter of Ayda Field and Robbie Williams, completes the entourage, while the couple have also chosen to have two “special attendants”: Prince Edward and Sophie Wessex’s children Lady Louise Mountbatten-Windsor (aged 14) and Viscount Severn (aged 10) will help to keep the younger ones in check.

“There are a lot of little ones in the bridal party and Eugenie thought it was sensible to have Louise and James there to help keep them all in check,” says a family friend. “She always wanted little people to escort her up the aisle, she knows it will be terribly sweet, but having two older ones will hopefully mean no mischief making.”

The couple have invited 850 guests to Friday’s nuptials; among the expected guests is Demi Moore, who was seen shopping in Notting Hill this week with Kate Moss, who is also on the guest list. Princess Eugenie, a remarkably well-connected royal, is understood to have had quite an influence in the guest list with many of her famous friends due to attend.

It will be the first time in many years that Eugenie’s mother Sarah Ferguson will be in the company of so many senior royals. She is said to be particularly nervous about being in such close company with Prince Philip, who has yet to make a final decision about whether he will attend the wedding.
