Prince Louis bears striking resemblance to his mum Kate Middleton

A beautiful new set of photos released in honour of Prince Charles’ 70th birthday has offered up another rare glimpse of little Prince Louis — who is now the spitting image of his mother, Kate Middleton.

The family photos were taken in the gardens of Clarence House in September, and show Prince Charles with his wife Camilla, surrounded by his sons Prince William and Prince Harry, their wives Kate and Meghan, and his three grandchildren Prince George, 5, Princess Charlotte, 3, and baby Louis.

It’s a refreshingly relaxed look at the Royal Family, with George even bouncing on his grandpa’s knee, but what’s even more striking is the resemblance between the youngest royal and his mother.

Here’s Prince Louis — who at the time the photo was taken, would have been around five months old — alongside an image of the Duchess of Cambridge at roughly the same age:

Just days ago, a candid snap from the same photo shoot was released, showing Prince Charles sharing a sweet and playful moment with his youngest grandchild.

It provided a very rare peek at the relationship between the heir to the throne and his grandson, who was born on April 23.

The last time royal fans had glimpsed Louis was in July, when the Palace released a photo of the little boy in the arms of his mother, taken on the day of his christening.

In the new documentary Prince, Son and Heir: Charles at 70, released in honour of Prince Charles’ birthday, Prince William admitted he hopes his father will spend more time with his grandkids in the coming years, particularly before he ascends the throne.

“It’s something I’m working on heavily. I think he does have time for it, but I would like him to have more time with the children,” the Duke of Cambridge said.

“Having more time with him at home would be lovely — and being able to, you know, play around with the grandchildren. When he is there, he’s brilliant, but we need him there as much as possible.”
