Following the release of the 2019 Grammy nominations, artists took to Twitter to express their gratitude and excitement.
Shawn Mendes, who received a song of the year nomination for “In My Blood” and a best pop vocal album nomination for his self-titled record, couldn’t even put his excitement into words. “Unbelievable, speechless right now,” he tweeted. “I LOVE YOU.” Niall Horan even chimed in to celebrate Mendes’ good news, tweeting, “My guy @ShawnMendes got 2 Grammy nominations!!! F*** yeahhhhh!”
Demi Lovato, who received a nomination for best pop duo/ group performance for her song “Fall In Line” with Christina Aguilera, wrote that she “woke up filled with hope.”
Dua Lipa, who picked up nominations for best new artist and best dance recording for “Electricity,” shared her disbelief at the honor on Twitter. “I’m so happy but I can’t stop crying, I can’t believe it!!!” she wrote.
The 61st Grammy Awards will air Feb. 10 on CBS, broadcast live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
