Shortly after news broke Tuesday night (AEDT) that Chris Brown was detained in Paris on allegation of aggravated rape of a woman, the R&B singer has broken his silence.
The 29-year-old 'Loyal' singer took to Instagram to share a fiery message.
"I WANNA MAKE IT PERFECTLY CLEAR...... THIS IS FALSE AND A WHOLE LOT OF CAP! This B---h Lyin'."
He continued, "NNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEVVVVVVVVVVEEEEEERRRRRR!!!!!! FOR MY DAUGHTER AND MY FAMILY THIS IS SO DISPRESPECTFUL [SIC] AND IS AGAINST MY CHARACTER AND MORALS!!!!!"
Brown has a four-year-old daughter, Royalty, with former partner Nia Guzman.
The post has amassed more than 620,000 likes since its posting on Wednesday AEDT.
One day ago, Brown shared a photo of himself at a dance studio in Paris to Instagram, which he captioned, "Dance REHEARSAL! @dancer_boysmith got me working IN PARIS...."
According to reports, a woman filed a rape complaint against the Grammy-winning singer and two other people, including his bodyguard, at the Mandarin Hotel in the centre of the city.
The 29-year-old was detained on Monday and was still being quizzed by police last night over potential charges of aggravated rape and drug infractions, a judicial official said.
Brown has face numerous legal battles in recent years.
His tumultuous relationship with ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran getting a permanent restraining order against him in 2017.
In August 2009, Brown was sentenced to five years probation, one year of domestic violence counselling, and six months of community service for physically assaulting ex Rihanna after the 2009 Grammy Awards.
