What’s a music and arts festival without some crazy outfits — and Byron Bay’s Falls Festival was no exception.
The three-day event, which kicked off on New Year’s Eve, has attracted around 20,000 festival-goers with some showing off their colourful, glittery and in some cases, barely there outfits.
With temperatures soaring to nearly 30C yesterday, many took advantage of the heat to show off their unique ensembles as they danced to the likes of Vance Joy and Hilltop Hoods.
One woman posted a photo to her Instagram showing off her glitter skills — wearing nothing but tiny sparkly studs to cover her chest — while others opted for colourful, hippie-inspired bikini tops with skirts or shorts.
The barely there theme continued with one woman going for an S&M look — her all-black latex attire consisted of duct tape, a leather belt and suspenders.
Even the guys got in on the beach theme, with one group of four showing off their very striking budgie smugglers.
Another man dubbed “mullet man” was also quite the attraction after he made the rounds on social media for his … unique look.
Among the fun, glitz and glam, Falls Festival organisers warned party-goers about those tempted take drugs.
It sent out text messages notifying attendees of a dangerous pill doing the rounds, following the death of a 22-year-old man at Lost Paradise Festival in Sydney’s north on Saturday.
A second man and a woman were also taken to hospital for treatment after becoming seriously ill from another unknown substance.
Lost Paradise organisers said their “sincerest condolences” are with the family of the man but have insisted the event is “strictly drug-free”.
