Meghan Markle, Prince Harry attend Natural History Museum gala amid letter row - NEWS.com.au

Meghan Markle has been seen in public for the first time since her family feud erupted over her explosive letter to her dad.

Glowing in an all-white outfit and cradling her ever-growing baby bump, 37-year-old Meghan Markle appears to be taking the familial drama in her stride, reports The Sun.

She accompanied husband Prince Harry to the Natural History Museum in London to attend a gala performance of award-winning drama, The Wider Earth.

Appearing in a cream Calvin Klein dress and an Amanda Wakely coat worth $US1190 ($AU1677), Meghan was full of smiles as she greeted the evening’s hosts.

The royal couple arrived in a car together and were greeted with handshakes and a bouquet of flowers before being taken into the museum.

The Duchess, who is due to give birth in April, found herself in the midst of yet another row with her estranged family after her father Thomas Markle Snr made public a handwritten letter sent to him by his daughter, begging him to stop lying to the press.

Mr Markle could now face legal action after leaking the contents of the letter to the press.

It has been shared around the world and the 74-year-old is said to be prepared to release more of the bombshell letter.

In it, the US actress criticised his wayward behaviour and accused him of “creating so much pain”.

She also suggested her dad has been “exploiting” her relationship with Prince Harry in the explosive note.

And it has now emerged that Palace aides are believed to be taking legal advice before the Duchess of Sussex decides whether to take action, reports the Telegraph.

In her letter, Meghan also referred to the CCTV footage incident which proved her dad staged pre-wedding photographs with the press in America.

She also pleaded with her dad to “stop lying” and accused him of “fabricating stories” to manufacture a fictitious narrative.

Thomas’ other daughter Samantha, 53, described the letter as being “so nasty” and added her dad is “prepared to release more of it”.

He wrote back and denied ever attacking Harry.
