Stars are starting to arrive on the Brownlow Medal red carpet as the AFL prepares to celebrate its night of nights.

The ceremony crowns the AFL’s best and fairest player but it is known as much for its parade of fashionable wives and girlfriends, affectionately known as WAGs.

Some high-profile WAGs including Rebecca Judd (wife of AFL legend Chris Judd) and Jordan Ablett (wife of Gary) have decided to give the event a miss but fashion lovers will be able to get their fix from stylish stars such as Emma Hawkins (wife of Cats star Tom Hawkins), Jessie Murphy (wife of Marc Murphy) and Alex Pendlebury (wife of Collingwood legend Scott Pendlebury).

Nadia Bartel has arrived on the red carpet in a stunning blue gown which she showed off on social media ahead of the event.

Meanwhile a smattering of stars have also arrived with retiring Carlton star Dale Thomas posing for selfies with fans.

Fox Sports’ Neroli Meadows and 7’s Abbey Gelmi have also arrived

While the GWS Giants aren’t travelling to Melbourne due their preparations for the AFL Grand Final, the club is holding a dinner to celebrate their incredible season.
