The Bachelorette 2019 set to premiere the same week as Love Island - NEWS.com.au

The Bachelor-shaped hole left in our lives from Matt Agnew’s finale is soon to be filled.

We finally have our premiere date for The Bachelorette, which will follow 29-year-old former Gogglebox star Angie Kent on her rose-filled search for love.

Hitting our screens on October 9th, the season is already shaping up to be an exciting one — the first episode boasting a twist not yet played out in seasons past.

Planted in the very first cocktail party to spy on Angie’s suitors will be Brad Kent — Angie’s little brother.

As teased in the latest promo, Brad will infiltrate the mansion to keep an eye on the contestants, giving his big sis a heads-up on any men he deems untrustworthy.

“I want you to go in there and give me any sort of insight. Who would suit me,” she says before sending her sibling on his mission.

The protective little brother indeed, Brad is heard telling the camera: “The boys better watch out what they say to me.”

You can watch the men panic that they’ve said too much already in the promo below:

Promised to be our most unfiltered and unapologetic Bachelorette yet, Angie revealed she’s looking for someone to “laugh with her, not at her” in March’s surprising Bach announcement.

“I’m at a place now where I have loads of self-love, but I’m also open to all of life’s amazing possibilities,” she said.

No stranger to our screens, Angie competed on I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here! alongside Gogglebox co-star Yvie Jones earlier this year, with the two proving a hit with viewers.

Angie finished in the top five before being eliminated alongside Luke Jacobz. It was her exit interview in which she revealed she would be open to returning to TV to look for love.

“I always said, ‘God no’, but you know what, I think after having more time on television now and being on the other side of the couch … I reckon I could be an alright Bachelorette,” she toldYahoo.

The self-confessed “ballbuster” says she’s “just going to be herself” during the season, but hopes to find the love of her life.

And we can’t wait to find out if she does.

The Bachelorette premiere airs Wednesday, October 9 at 7.30pm on Network Ten
