A new weekend line-up for Channel 10 has been unveiled, with the almighty Shrek 2 swooping in this Saturday to fill the time slot void left by Saturday Night Rove‘s departure. I’m shr(i)eking.
This follows the news that Saturday Night Rove would not be airing a third episode due to underwhelming ratings. (For context, only 138,000 viewers chimed in for the second episode, down from 244,000 for the premiere.)
I’m calling it now – this Saturday will hereby be known as ‘Shrek pres’. Call the pals, whip out the rosé and have your snacks at the ready for a 7PM start.
I’m sure you could make a drinking game out of it… Take a drink every time Donkey says something fucking annoying? Take a shot when ogres mack on? Skull when you see dragon-donkeys? The world’s your swampy oyster.
Sister Act and The Notebook will be replacing the Saturday Night Rove in the coming weeks.
Shrek, take it away pal.
