Victoria and David Beckham are one of those rare, unlikely high-profile couples still going strong a couple of decades into their marriage, and as it turns out they are going far stronger than most of us thought.

In a candid interview on The View the former Spice Girl and fashion designer spilled the beans on the key to their marriage and it looks like good sex is an essential ingredient.

Host Joy Behar asked after the relationship, but one slip of the tongue had Posh Spice quickly on the defensive.

“You have to be friends with somebody after many years together, because the sex, eh...” the host began to say before Victoria cut in.

“Don't worry about that!” she cheekily shot back, letting everyone know that no concern was necessary.

On a slightly more serious note, the mum of four took the opportunity to her soccer-star husband for being a ‘wonderful’ father and husband.

“You know obviously he's incredibly good looking but David is the most wonderful husband and fantastic father and a real inspiration to all of us, he's hard-working,” she gushed.

“I'm lucky to have him as my soul mate.”

The adorable commentary came after the pair celebrated their 20 year anniversary in July of this year.

Now parents to Brooklyn, 20, Romeo, 17, Cruz, 14 and Harper, eight, it seems the pair are as loved up as they were in their 90’s glory days.

When they met, Victoria was still one-fifth of the worlds most popular girl group, and David was a star player for Manchester United.

Now responsible parents and a definitive power couple, it looks like love really can go the distance.
