Prince Charles has revealed for the first time how he’s feeling about his son’s upcoming nuptials to Meghan Markle.
Speaking from Nice, where he and the Duchess of Cornwall are on a royal tour, Charles said “it’s absolutely marvellous, (I) can’t wait.”
“It’s going to be a very special day for everybody.”
The Duchess said she too was also excited about wedding, which is just nine days away.
Camilla was asked what it’s been like getting to know Meghan, and she said “it’s very nice, all very exciting.”
The pair will be among 800 guests at St George’s Chapel in Windsor on May 19 to witness the wedding of the year.
Last week it was revealed Meghan will be accompanied by her mother Doria Ragland on her way to Windsor Castle, and her father, Thomas Markle Snr, will walk her up the aisle.
The day will be “guided by tradition” and also include touches that “reflects the personalities” of Prince Harry and Meghan.
Prince William will be his brother’s best man, while Meghan won’t have a maid of honour, rather have a group of young bridesmaids and page boys, which are expected to include Prince George and Princess Charlotte.
Prince Louis, who was born last month, won’t be attending the wedding.
Prince Charles and Camilla are currently on the second leg of their royal tour to France and Greece.
