Kate Middleton is unlikely to be seen at any royal engagements until October.
The Duchess Of Cambridge may take four months off work to look after Prince Louis and enjoy the Summer holidays with Prince George and Princess Charlotte.
Kate gave birth to Prince Louis on April 23 and has since been seen at a number of royal occasions, including Trooping The Colour at the weekend and Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding in May.
But it’s likely the only times the public will now see her will be at family events, like when she took Charlotte and George to watch the Polo at the weekend.
Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams told the Express: ‘Kate will be resuming Royal duties after taking extended maternity leave as expected after Louis’s birth, probably in the autumn.
‘The wedding doesn’t count because it was a family affair but other than that, she will pick and choose her engagements.
‘If she wanted, Kate could disappear into the background until October!’
And royal biographer Duncan Larcombe added: ‘It is traditional for new Royal mums to take a six-month break from official engagements.’
It’s likely the next time Kate will be seen is Prince Louis’ christening, set to be later this summer.
Prince William, meanwhile, will continue with royal duties throughout the summer.
He is next to embark on a tour of the Middle East, where he will visit Jordan, Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territories.
His tour will commence later this month on Sunday 24 June to Thursday 28 June.
A Kensington Palace spokesman said of the tour: ‘The historic nature of this tour is of course important and the Duke considers it a great privilege to be undertaking the first ever official Royal tour of Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territories and to be able to help further strengthen the friendship between Jordan and the United Kingdom.
‘More importantly, however, the Duke is looking forward to building a real and enduring relationship with the people of the region.
‘In particular he is pleased that his programme will allow him to meet a number of people from his own generation and young Jordanians, Israelis, and Palestinians.
‘His Royal Highness is looking forward to learning about their unique perspectives, but also their shared ambitions and hopes for the future.’
