After coming so close to making the grand final of I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here!, Angie Kent of Gogglebox fame is ready for her next big adventure – returning to the dating game.
The 29-year-old, who finished off with Gogglebox last season alongside partner-in-crime Yvie Jones, says she’ll happily put her hand up to be the next Bachelorette, a bold move after she was “turned off dating” in 2018.
“I always said, ‘God no’, but you know what, I think after having more time on television now and being on the other side of the couch… I reckon I could be an alright Bachelorette,” she tells Yahoo Lifestyle after exiting the South African jungle.
“I’m definitely open to finding somebody. I just turned 29 so home girl’s not getting any younger, so for sure,” she laughs.
If the Bachelorette is next on Angie’s agenda, she’s certainly gone the right way about getting closer to the honour of handing out the roses.
She and Yvie Jones finished up with Gogglebox last year, and then the opportunity arose to star on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! on Channel Ten, the network that airs The Bachelor and Bachelorette.
“I’m done with Gogglebox now,” confirms Angie. I’ll always support the show and [am] hoping whatever comes my way… I’m leaving it up to the universe and seeing if there’s more to come.
“And if not, then it’s back to the drawing board.”
As for the kind of partner she’s looking for, Angie says it’s what on the inside that counts.
“I’m a big personality girl,” she explains. I love someone who makes me laugh. I’m not super big on looks at all.
“So as long as if I did something like that, they didn’t send in a bunch of meat [inaudible] d**chebags, I think I would be open to it.”
“I haven’t dated properly in years,” she also reveals.
“I had a little bit of a whirlwind last year that turned me off dating for a while but it’s a new year and I’m a new woman so if I can take on the jungle, I reckon I can take on potentially dating again.”
The grand final of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! with Yvie Jones, Richard Reid and Shane Crawford airs on Sunday night at 7:30pm on Channel Ten.
