Meghan Markle's father Thomas' bizarre post-royal wedding message to the world

AFTER missing his daughter’s royal wedding due to health problems, Thomas Markle has surfaced in California strangely showing off a defaced photo of his family.

Mr Markle was a late withdrawal from the weekend’s nuptials of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle at Windsor Castle after undergoing heart surgery.

However that doesn’t appear to have slowed him after he was spotted just across the US border from Mexico.

Mr Markle was pictured enjoying a meal at San Diego’s Ying Li Chinese Restaurant where staff said he enjoyed a tempura and lemon shrimp dish, orange chicken and vegetable chow mein.

However it was his behaviour upon leaving the restaurant that is again sure to raise eyebrows across the world after his much talked about behaviour prior to the royal wedding.

As he left the restaurant, less than four days after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle tied the knot, Mr Markle was pictured carrying a printed photo that appeared to be altered and one he happily allowed a waiting photographer to snap.

The photo of a man and a woman appeared to be scribbled on with a pen to give those in the picture a pig-like appearance complete with missing teeth.

The man in the photo is Thomas Dooley Markle, one of Meghan’s nephews from her half-brother Thomas Markle Jr.

Thomas Markle Jr has two children with ex-wife Tracey Dooley Markle, Thomas Dooley Markle, 26 and younger brother Tyler, 25.

The woman in the photo is yet to be identified.

According to The Sun, Thomas, also known as TJ, is said to work as a manager for a fast food chain, reportedly Domino’s.

But he shares similar views to his brother over the use of cannabis, with the family giving cannabis oil to their three-legged wolf and Dutch Shepherd cross, Cody.

It is thought Meghan was close to her nephews when she was younger, and would regularly babysit him and his brother.

Photos and footage have emerged showing an 11-year-old Meghan playing with a one-year-old Thomas.

Despite his family — including his mum Tracy and dad Thomas Markle Snr — not receiving invites to the wedding he and his mum and brother jetted to London prior to the big day and gave a number of interviews to the British press.

They were photographed touching down in the capital, and sharing tourist snaps on their social media accounts.

In London, the extended Markle clan reportedly stayed at the H10 hotel in Waterloo, where rooms are available for as little as $125 a night

Prior to the wedding, Tyler said Meghan’s dad — his grandad — was “not doing well”.

He said: “My grandfather is in pieces — he is broken. He is not doing well.

“He is a very reclusive guy — he has been in the spotlight his entire life behind the cameras and now he has been thrusted into all this with the Royals.

“It is overwhelming. My grandfather just wants to be left alone — he wants the peace and the quiet back.”

He added: “I couldn’t be more proud of Meghan — she is everything to me.

“She knows she has a big support base behind her and that’s all she needs to know.”

The family appeared on Good Morning Britain in March to reveal they hadn’t received an invite — despite thousands of members of the public attending the royal event of the year.

Tracy, who was married to Meghan’s half-brother Thomas Markle Jr, said: “We’re OK with that and we’re supporting her. We’re so proud of her.”

The latest photos of Thomas Markle will no doubt further infuriate the royals after he managed to turn the lead-up to the wedding of the year into a debacle when he was caught arranging to be photographed by paparazzi as he was fitted for a wedding suit. He was then forced to pull out of the wedding, stating that he had to undergo heart surgery.
