Not trying to brag or anything, but when it comes to our extensive Friends knowledge we can pretty much recite every episode word-for-word.
However, one former cast member has now revealed one of our old favourite episodes actually contains a VERY rude joke — and we had absolutely no idea.
To mark the 25th anniversary of when the show first aired, former Friends cast members have been spilling some behind-the-scenes secrets from the set, The Sun reports.
Actress Jane Sibbett — who played Ross’ ex-wife Carol Willick — revealed that “there was one joke we kept changing” which her and David Schwimmer “couldn’t get right” in the closing scene for The One Without the Ski Trip.
She told The Guardian: “It was the episode where Susan and I are celebrating our anniversary and Ross comes over at an inopportune moment, and I had to telegraph him that it isn’t a good time.”
In a blink-and-you’ll-miss it moment, Carol can be spotted removing “a little pube from (her)] tongue” as Ross arrives on her doorstep in the closing credits:
Jane added: “That was the only time I pitched something that was really outrageous and it actually got on air.”
And just while we’re building up our Friends trivia, the actor who played Barry — who Rachel left at the altar in the very first episode — revealed that he came very close to being cast as Ross.
Mitchell Whitfield said: “I was brought in to audition for Ross and Chandler.”
Despite getting to the “very end” of the casting process, Mitchell was told by producers: “We’re bringing in one more guy to read.
“That guy turned out to be David Schwimmer.”
